Those who choose to attend ultrasound technician schools have many to choose from. There are colleges and universities that offer 2 to 4 year degrees, but vocational tech schools often offer programs in ultrasound technology that students can complete within a year. Many who attend these schools are already working in the medical field and looking to expand their opportunities through additional training, but some are not working in the field yet and have chosen ultrasound diagnostics as their avenue to enter the health care industry.
